A few of you guys have expressed concerns with a. keeping up with the readings (especially once school starts) and b. reading books that not everyone is currently reading.

Now this isn't a super strict environment (and shouldn't be!) but I wanted to stress that it will be more beneficial to us as readers to be reading books more or less simultaneously to each other. Ie. It will be more useful to us if at least 2-3 of us are reading a book, for instance Great Expectations, because then the discussion will be current and people will reply to the topic more frequently, more points will be brought up, etc., etc.

So, if you want to make a book you are reading part of this discussion forum, by all means make a new thread for it, but try to at least contact one other person and work out a reading schedule for yourselves so you can discuss it together. Many times interesting points and new ideas are brought up by different people so it's much more productive to read with a group (plus there's that whole motivation thing).

Also, DO NOT WORRY about when college starts. Smiley This is totally for fun and shouldn't cause any stress.

Happy reading!

Also, I will try to make a more comprehensive page outside of the message board that will list the order of the readings. So, please contact me once you've found your "reading buddy" (or "buddies") and I will post which books are currently being read, the chapters, etc., etc.
